Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre is a complex of conference and exhibition halls in the Zuidas business district of Amsterdam, Netherlands. The RAI offers a total exhibition area of 108,300 m² (1,146,365 sq. feet). Eleven multifunctional halls are available for exhibitions, congresses, meetings and other events. The congress centre comprises, two auditoriums, 70 congress and conference rooms with a capacity up to 1,750 people. In addition, the state-of-the-art ballroom offers event space of up to 1,883 m2 (20,268ft). When more capacity is needed, the exhibitions halls can be fitted out as fully fledged conference halls.
RAI Amsterdam is uniquely situated, a mere 12 minutes from the city centre and 8 minutes from Schiphol international airport; it even has its own train and metro stations as well as a tram stop right outside! Moreover, all of Amsterdam’s cultural and nightlife attractions are within easy reach. Right next to the A10 ring road, RAI Amsterdam is easily accessible by car too. The RAI also boasts 6,250 parking spaces and its own harbour provides a direct link to the capital’s historic canal system. This makes Amsterdam RAI the location for your event that anyone can get to.
The RAI has its ‘own’ station, RAI Amsterdam which is located a stone’s throw from the RAI complex and is easy to reach from anywhere in the Netherlands. BY TRAM, METRO OR BUS
Tram 4 runs between the RAI (Europaplein stop), Amsterdam’s city centre and Amsterdam Central Station. You can reach the RAI from the Amstel railway station by taking Metro 51 and Bus 65. Metro 51 also runs to Amsterdam Central Station. Metro 50 runs regularly between the Amsterdam Sloterdijk and Gein stations and stops at the RAI Amsterdam station.
The RAI is immediately signposted on roads signs on the ring road drivers end up on after approaching Amsterdam from the A1 motorway (Amersfoort/Amsterdam), the A2 (Utrecht/Amsterdam) or the A4 (Den Haag [The Hague]/Amsterdam). RAI Amsterdam is situated right next to the ring road (Exit 9). The RAI’s car parks are signposted immediately after leaving the ring road.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is located a mere 15 minutes from RAI Amsterdam whether you travel by car, train, taxi or bus. The Amsterdam Airport website provides information including: up-to-the-minute flight information, connecting transport facilities to RAI Amsterdam and business facilities.
Any taxi company can bring you to RAI Amsterdam. Only taxis operated by the company TCA can pick you up at the RAI, however. During certain events, there will be TCA taxis waiting at the entrance of the event. If there are none available you can order one via the reception.
If you are coming to an event in RAI Amsterdam by coach you can usually park in P6. Simply follow the signs marked P-RAI 6. Some events attract a large number of buses.
