Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center
Renamed in 2013 to honor the former U.S. senator from Texas, the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center is a sprawling venue anchored in downtown Dallas. With a 2-million-square-foot campus, the facility boasts more than 1 million square feet of exhibition space plus three ballrooms, more than 80 meeting rooms, an arena, a theater, and one of the largest column-free contiguous exhibit spaces in the United States. The KBHCC features a renowned public art collection and has expansive grounds that contain monuments, a cemetery, and a plaza where visitors can enjoy some green space in the heart of one of the South’s most vibrant cities.
With its convenient Downtown location, there’s hardly any need to drive to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Public transportation is readily available and convenient.
Dallas is centrally located and served by two major airports, Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW). In addition, the City operates a general aviation facility at Dallas Executive Airport (KRBD) for private air travel.
- Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is 19 miles from the KBHCC, and taxis cost $45.
- Dallas Love Field is a short seven miles from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. In about 30 minutes, travelers from D/FW can arrive at the facility.
- Dallas Executive is only 10 minutes and one traffic light away!
BUS / TRAIN
Amtrak and the Trinity Railway Express both service Dallas Union Station, which is located just 2 1/2 blocks northeast of the Convention Center.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has a light rail station at the Convention Center. Take either the Red or Blue line to our front door. The DART rail station is located on Lamar Street at Memorial Drive.
Or ride DART’s free D-Link shuttle bus (Route 722) to shopping and entertainment. The D-Link stop is located on Lamar Street at Ceremonial Street, just outside the C Lobby entrance. See the D-Link map below for more detail. The Convention Center is located at stops #3 and #4.
The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center is located at 650 S. Griffin Street in Dallas, TX 75201. There is currently highway construction underway to improve connectivity and traffic flow into Downtown Dallas. For details including detours and lane closures go to Dallas Horseshoe Project. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2017. The KBHCC has more than 2,000 parking spaces, with another 4,000 nearby.
