Hall and Site Plan | Information about Cologne | Events

Koelnmesse provides a large selection of first class halls, from Studio hall 1 to Event hall 9. At the fifth-largest exhibition centre in the world: 11 trade fair halls, 2 Congress Centres and a tremendous outdoor area of 100.000 sqm offer plenty of space for a trade fair, congress, conference or event.

Koelnmesse is explicitly striving to create the world’s most attractive inner-city exhibition centre so that it can continue to provide exhibitors and visitors with an appropriate setting for trade fairs, congresses and other events in the future. That’s why Koelnmesse is planning to make major investments in the future of the exhibition centre and the trade fair program until 2030. The plan is titled “Koelnmesse 3.0” and encompasses investments of around Euro 600 million until 2030. Koelnmesse intends to align the exhibition centre and the infrastructure with the requirements of the trade fair business in the coming years, which means that its primary focus will be on the demands of exhibitors and visitors. However, Koelnmesse is not only investing in the future of the trade fair venue, but also in the future of the entire region.

Transportation

Due to Koelnmesse’s central location, which is conveniently situated for many transport links, visitors can quickly reach the exhibition centre from many European cities both within and outside of Germany by car, train, plane and local public transport. Here you will also find information on special traffic measures in the vicinity of the exhibition centre.

ARRIVING BY CAR

Ten highways lead into Cologne’s beltway, which brings you directly to the exhibition centre without junctions or traffic lights. Simply follow the green signs marked “Koelnmesse”. There are about 14,500 parking spaces around the exhibition center. Free shuttle buses run from the car parks to the entrances.

Most of Cologne’s metropolitan area is a low emission zone, into which only vehicles sporting one of the stickers for emission group 4 (green sticker) are allowed to enter since July 2014. The Koelnmesse exhibition center is, however, accessible for all types of vehicles, even if they do not bear one of the afore mentioned stickers.
